The Hyatt Place Sonoma Wine Country project breaks ground
Landmark Hotels celebrated a blessing and groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the Hyatt Place Sonoma Wine Country on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, with ownership, project team members and the Sonoma County community in attendance. The highly awaited start of construction follows more than five years of work to seek the necessary entitlements before final permitting in October. The hotel is scheduled for completion in late 2026.
A new Sonoma County destination
The Hyatt Place Sonoma Wine Country is located along Airport Boulevard, near the Charles Schulz Sonoma County Airport and a short drive to the city of Santa Rosa and the towns of Windsor and Healdsburg. Its location makes it an ideal stay for visitors to Sonoma Wine Country for business or leisure. Its proximity to major wineries and vineyards makes the hotel perfect for future guests who come to experience the wineries, craft breweries and distilleries in the region.

The 165-unit hotel will feature brand style accommodations with a regional design palate, where guests can enjoy thoughtfully designed guestrooms featuring distinct zones for sleep, work and play. These guestrooms have been designed for the comfort of individual corporate or leisure travelers as well as for families who will appreciate the sofa beds and the connecting room options. The hotel will also feature large suites with views facing the Sonoma hills.
